CTA-US is a group of physicists based in the United States who work within the international Cherenkov Telescope Array Consortium.  Our group is located across 22 institutions and national laboratories across the U.S.  We bring expertise from particles physics and high-energy astrophysics together to help build the next generation high-energy particle astrophysics experiment: The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA).  Groups within the CTA Consortium across the globe are building prototype telescopes to help us design and develop the telescopes for the final array.  CTA-US pioneering the novel Schwarzschild-Couder telescope (SCT) design for its prototype telescope.  The SCT will use a secondary mirror to produce a more compact instrument that will allow for a wider field of view and improved spatial resolution.
